Synopsis for "One Bridegroom Too Many!"

The big wedding has finally arrived for Barry Allen and his bride Iris. As the scarlet speedster wraps up a violent gang in Central City, he is distracted over the question of whether to reveal his identity to his future wife. Flash successfully subdues the gang and races back to his apartment. The next morning brings a bevy of wedding guests that have arrived to witness the upcoming nuptials. The wedding begins and the bride begins her descent down the aisle when the wedding is suddenly brought to a halt by the Flash who is standing at the doorway announcing that Iris West is marrying the wrong man. The scene then changes to the future where we find The Reverse Flash breaking out of his captivity. The Reverse Flash then decides to travel to the past to assume the identity of his counterpart Flash in the present day. As the Reverse Flash travels back in time, the Present day Flash is catapulted to the future to take the place of Professor Zoom (aka reverse flash). Professor Zoom assumes the identity of Barry Allen and prepares for the wedding. He also assumes the job of the regular flash performing crimefighting duties. In the meantime the real Flash finds himself trapped in the future unable to break out of his captivity. He uses his costume ring to break out of his prison by vibrating at the speed of light and penetrating the wall of the prison. Flash travels back to the past to break up the wedding as it is about to start. He abducts Professor Zoom and challenges him to a duel. The real Flash is eventually able to subdue the Reverse Flash and hands him over to authorities so he can be transported back to the future. Barry and Iris are eventually married and they drive off to a coastal hideaway. Barry Allen is still tormented as to whether he should reveal his identity to his wife, even going as far as asking the readers for advice in the final panel.
